The Oregon State Police newest Bentz Boat will patrol from Lewiston, Idaho to Hell’s Canyon Dam on the Snake River.
The 28′ twin is powered by Kodiak 6.0L Chevy engines, 360 hp gasoline engines and coupled to Hamilton 212 jet units. The hull design is specific to the large whitewater encountered in Hell’s Canyon and built to withstand the years of extreme use that is will encounter. The boat will be utilized for wildlife transport, search and rescue and law enforcement activities.
The boat includes bench style seating, dual on board heaters, bow and swim deck ladders, rear rails with rod holders, VHF and headset radios with an electronics package, trim tabs, sand traps and an external muffler system. Multiple storage compartments integrated throughout.
